Heather & Christian got married at St Mary's Church, Sandbach, Cheshire August 2006.

 

How did you meet?

 

We met four years ago, when my hubby came to fit an aerial and Sky TV for us. From then on, as he only lived around the corner, I could not keep my eyes off him.

Tell us about the proposal......

 

He proposed in front of about 100 people, he got his mate the lead singer of a band we went to see, to sing an acoustic version of a song during the interval. Then he got down on one knee while his mate sang my dedication called "Little girl I wanna marry you" How could I say no to that plus a great big whopping diamond ring.

 

Tell us a little bit about the wedding attire.....

 

My mother in law made my dress for me she started it approximately 2 months before! She was altering it the week before the wedding as i had lost weight! She also made all the bridesmaid dresses and the men's waistcoats and cravats. My shoes were from Dune, a right bargain, and matched the pale gold colour of my dress perfectly. My tiara was from the local haberdashery and I borrowed grandma's pearls.

 

And the flowers.....

 

I had Vandella (champagne) coloured roses and ivory Calla Lilles, with big green leaves and Bear Grass. They came from the local florist.

What will you remember most about the day?

 

I will remember most the fact that I arrived not only before my bridesmaids but before my groom aswell!! And also my dress kept blowing over us while we were having pictures taken outside the church!

Where are you going on honeymoon?

 

We are leaving tomorrow, a week after our wedding, to go the Sandals resort in the Bahamas for 2 weeks! We can't wait!
